COLUMBUS, IN – The October to April trailer industry order season gained 25% over the 2012-2013 season according to the most recent State of the Industry: U.S. Trailers published by ACT Research Co. (ACT). Most of the strength came from dry and reefer vans.
“April net orders of 26,390 rose 20% year over year,” said Frank Maly, Director – CV Transportation Analysis and Research at ACT. “Cancellation continued to be insignificant, pointing to firm orders in the backlog. And the backlog is up 30% from a year ago,” he added.
